Marissa Meredyth joined ARFD in 2016 and was admitted to the New York Bar in 2017. She focuses primarily on the defense of medical malpractice.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Meredyth worked as a legislative director for a New York State Senator, managing the Senator’s active bills from conception through enactment and collaborating with governmental agencies, non-profits, and constituents on developing sound ideas for legislation.

Ms. Meredyth received her J.D and an experiential advocacy certificate from Vermont Law School, where she was a member of the Vermont Journal of Environmental Law, research assistant for the Center for Legal Innovation, and teaching assistant for Contracts Law. She also worked as a student clinician at both on-campus clinics—the South Royalton Legal Clinic, where she assisted low-income Vermonters in immigration, family law, and consumer debt matters, and the Environmental & Natural Resources Law Clinic, on matters involving the Clean Water Act, Vermont’s Act 250, as well as actions sounding in tort.

After law school, Ms. Meredyth clerked for the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary and interned at the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animal’s government relations department in D.C. She also holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science, magna cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh.
