Dawn C. Shapiro is a 1992 graduate of St. John’s University School of Law, where she was a member of the Law Review. She has been with the firm since 1996 and became a partner at the firm in 2003. Prior to attending law school, she practiced as a Registered Nurse specializing in critical care medicine at a major metropolitan area teaching hospital. Since law school, she has utilized her medical background to concentrate in the defense of complex medical malpractice litigation. 

She was successful in causing the Court to apply the Frye standard in a case involving a neurologically compromised infant, resulting in the preclusion of the expert’s testimony, and her meticulous case preparation has resulted in the achievement of successful defenses of our clients at trial, as well as discontinuances of actions against our clients and favorable settlements.
