Mr. Shaw received his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University in 2001 and a J.D. degree from New York Law School in 2005.  Upon graduation, Mr. Shaw joined the Nassau County District Attorney's Office.  During the course of his prosecutorial career, he handled all levels of criminal cases from inception through trial.  Most recently, Mr. Shaw was assigned to the Street Narcotics and Gang Bureau working on wiretap investigations and trials involving violent gangs.     

Today, Doug’s practice concentrates on the defense of hospitals and physicians in complex medical malpractice litigation.  Mr. Shaw is admitted to practice in the State Courts of New York.
