Kacy C. Vance, Associate

Kacy C. Vance (she/her/ella) graduated cum laude from the University of South Florida St. Petersburg with a B.A. in Mass Communications and a minor in Criminology. Thereafter, she earned her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School where she was the Co-Chair of the Disability Advocacy Law Students Association, Theatre Chair of the Brooklyn Entertainment and Sports Law Society, Social Chair of the Latin American Students Law Association, and a founding member of the Living Land Acknowledgement Working Group which focused on honoring the Lenape People. She was also a clinical student in the Disability and Civil Rights Clinic for two semesters. While in law school, Kacy also managed a campaign for Florida State House District 36, taught Black Education through Reconstruction, Inc., and worked with Miami’s Disability Independence Group to file civil rights complaints against school boards denying accommodations for students with disabilities.

At Aaronson Rappaport, Kacy focuses on the defense of complex medical malpractice actions, representing the area’s most prominent hospitals, physicians, and specialty groups. She also continues her work for students with disabilities across the state of New York to assist them in obtaining accommodations from the Bar Exam, and gives presentations on disability in law school and the legal field at her alma mater.

She is admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
