Kathryn R. Unterberger, Associate
Kathryn R. Unterberger (she/her/hers) graduated cum laude from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she earned a BA in Film and Media Arts. Following her graduation, Katy worked as a media administrator at NFL Films for two years, assisting producers and editors on acclaimed shows such as NFL Films Presents, Hard Knocks, and A Football Life.
Thereafter, Katy enrolled in Brooklyn Law School’s accelerated program where she earned her J.D. and an Intellectual Property, Media, and Information Law Certificate. As incoming first-year law student, she received the Community Superhero Scholarship from D. Miller & Associates, PLLC, in recognition of her longstanding commitment to volunteerism and community service.
While in law school, Katy served as the Media Chair of the Brooklyn Entertainment and Sports Law Association and as a Copyright Research Assistant to Professor Samuel Murumba. Upon graduating, she was presented with the Samuel P. and Ellen Sporn Award in recognition of her positive contributions and dedication to the school.
Before joining ARFD, Katy worked at CAMBA Legal Services, representing low-income tenants in summary eviction proceedings in King’s County Housing Court. At ARFD, Katy represents some of the City and State’s most prestigious medical institutions and physicians.
Katy is admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
