Robert Deutsch obtains discontinuance of defendant hospital in New York County after 4-week trial

Robert Deutsch represented the defendant hospital in a matter wherein the patient sustained a stroke as a result of an intra-operative complication, leaving the patient profoundly disabled.  Plaintiff contended that the hospital failed to comply with the standard of care with regard to an intra-operative consult it was asked to provide, as well as with regard to the post-operative care,  and that those failures led to the development of the post-operative stroke.  After 4 weeks of testimony, the plaintiff resolved the matter with the co-defendant, discontinuing Mr. Deutsch’s client without any payment of the hospital’s behalf.
